Necessary need of diagnostics during installation: NO
– lights deactivated by diagnostics = SpeedBox always active
– lights activated by diagnostics = ability turn the SpeedBox on/off

SpeedBox for Shimano Steps is a processor-controlled module what increases the maximum speed of your electric bike up to 50 km/h. The display shows half
the speed.

If you don’t have lights mounted on your eBike then SpeedBox is always active.

If you do have lights mounted on your eBike then you are able to turn the SpeedBox on/off:

Lights ON -> SpeedBox is deactivated

Lights OFF -> SpeedBox is activated

If you prefer activated Lights and SpeedBox at the same time then please do not connect ‘Light Con.’ cable.
